Job Title: Caregiver – Elderly / Disability Support
Location: Canada
Job Type: Full-Time / Live-in or Live-out
Salary: Competitive, based on experience (Typically CAD $18–$25/hour)

Job Overview:

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated caregivers to provide high-quality support and assistance to elderly individuals and/or persons with disabilities. This role involves personal care, emotional support, and day-to-day assistance to help clients live safely and comfortably in their homes or care facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
  • Support with mobility and transfers (using aids as needed)
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary requirements
  • Administer medications under supervision or as directed
  • Provide companionship, emotional support, and encouragement
  • Assist with housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment
  • Escort clients to medical appointments and community outings
  • Observe and report any changes in the client’s condition to the supervisor or family
  • Follow individual care plans and ensure dignity, respect, and confidentiality at all times

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification in caregiving, personal support work, or healthcare aid (PSW/NCII or equivalent preferred)
  • Previous experience in elderly care or disability support is an asset
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety practices
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physically able to assist clients with mobility
  • CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)
