Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Radiologic Technologist (X-ray Tech) to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will perform diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients, while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate X-ray and other diagnostic imaging equipment to produce high-quality images
- Accurately position patients and equipment to capture the correct diagnostic image
- Ensure radiation safety protocols are followed for patients, staff, and self
- Maintain patient records and imaging documentation in accordance with regulations
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret images
- Prepare and maintain imaging rooms, equipment, and supplies
- Provide clear instructions and compassionate care to patients during procedures
- Adhere to professional standards, facility policies, and ethical practices
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Medical Radiologic Technology
- Current registration and licensure with the provincial regulatory body (e.g., ACMLT or equivalent)
- Certification in CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, imaging techniques, and radiation safety
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience:
- 1–2 years of experience in clinical radiologic technology (new grads welcome to apply)
- Experience with digital imaging systems (PACS/RIS)
