Job Title: Midwife

Job Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Midwife to join our maternity care team in Canada. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, evidence-based prenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to clients in a variety of settings including hospitals, birthing centers, and community clinics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide holistic care and support to women during pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum period
• Monitor the physical, emotional, and psychological health of pregnant clients
• Conduct prenatal visits and perform physical exams and diagnostic tests
• Assist and manage normal vaginal deliveries and respond to emergency situations when necessary
• Educate clients and families about pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and newborn care
• Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals when required
• Maintain detailed patient records and adhere to provincial healthcare regulations and policies
• Offer family planning and reproductive health counseling

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Midwifery or equivalent
• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure with the regulatory body in the province of employment (e.g., College of Midwives of Ontario, British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives)
• Minimum 1-2 years of midwifery experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently and in interdisciplinary teams
• CPR and neonatal resuscitation certification is an asset

Salary Range:

CAD $38 – $55 per hour (depending on province, experience, and location)
