Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, knowledgeable, and compassionate Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The Pharmacist will be responsible for preparing and dispensing medications, providing drug-related information to patients and healthcare providers, and ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of pharmacology, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret physician orders and prescriptions to ensure appropriate medication use.
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and legal standards.
- Counsel patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, interactions, and storage.
- Monitor patient medication therapies and provide drug-related information to medical staff.
- Maintain accurate records for controlled substances and other medications in accordance with legal and institutional requirements.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to evaluate and manage drug therapies for optimal patient outcomes.
- Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and interns.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in pharmacology, pharmaceutical practices, and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid and current pharmacist license in [Insert State or Region].
- Strong knowledge of drug composition, chemical properties, and interactions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
