Job Summary:
We are seeking dedicated Public Health Workers to join community health programs across Canada. This role focuses on promoting health, preventing disease, and improving the well-being of individuals and populations through outreach, education, and public health initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver health education programs and awareness campaigns in the community
- Monitor and assess public health concerns, including outbreaks and environmental health risks
- Conduct community outreach and home visits as part of health intervention programs
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and local authorities
- Support vaccination campaigns and disease prevention strategies
- Collect and analyze public health data for research and policy-making
- Promote healthy lifestyles and provide referrals to healthcare services
- Assist with emergency response plans and pandemic control measures
- Advocate for underserved populations and ensure health equity
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Public Health, Nursing, Social Work, or a related field
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in community or public health (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Canadian public health policies and cultural sensitivity
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Language proficiency in English or French (depending on location)
Salary Range:
CAD $50,000 – $70,000 per year (depending on experience and location)
