Job Summary:
We are hiring passionate and community-driven Public Health Workers to help promote health, prevent disease, and improve the well-being of individuals and populations across Canada. This role involves outreach, health education, data collection, and collaboration with healthcare providers and community leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement community health programs and awareness campaigns
- Educate the public on topics such as disease prevention, nutrition, hygiene, and mental health
- Conduct home visits, health screenings, and follow-ups
- Assist in vaccination drives, emergency responses, and outbreak investigations
- Gather and analyze data to assess community health needs
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, schools, and local authorities
- Advocate for underserved and vulnerable populations
- Promote access to healthcare services and monitor program effectiveness
- Maintain accurate documentation and submit reports to public health authorities
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Public Health, Nursing, Social Work, or a related field
- 1–2 years of experience in health education, outreach, or community services (preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with diverse populations and in multicultural settings
- Proficiency in English or French (depending on location)
- Strong organizational and data management skills
Salary Range:
CAD $45,000 – $70,000 per year (based on experience and province)
