Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Technician / Sonographer to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures and assist physicians in diagnosing medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations in accordance with physician orders.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment and adjust settings for optimal image quality.
  • Explain procedures to patients, ensuring comfort and addressing any concerns.
  • Review and analyze images, identifying abnormalities for physician evaluation.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained and functioning.
  • Follow infection control and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent.
  • Certification from Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS preferred.
  • Valid license or registration in the province of employment.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of relevant clinical experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:
